Tonight we mark the beginning of our tour with a wonderful dinner at our hotel, where you will enjoy meeting your fellow travelers and your Tour Director as well.

Discovering Røros, a UNESCO Treasure

We leave the capital toward Røros, once Norway's most important mining town and now a modern community in which people live and work right in the middle of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

MAIN ATTRACTIONS: Guided Tour of Røros, Guided Tour of the Church of Røros, Røros Beer Tasting

ACCOMMODATION: Erzscheidergarden B & B

Copper Mines & Gorgeous Railways: Dombås and Andalsnes

After exploring Olav's mine we leave Røros and drive to Dombås, where we will board the Rauma Railway, one of Norway's wildest and most beautiful train journeys, which will take us to Åndalsnes. There we will explore the area's attractions (including the National Tourist Route Trollstigen) and continue our journey onto Ålesund.

Exploring the Ålesund Archipelago in Style

Today is dedicated to exploring Art-Noveau Ålesund and its surrounding gems. A day of thrills and beauty is guaranteed.

Viking History at the Selja Monastery and Arrival in Loen

We leave from Ålesund and drive to the quaint community of Selje. From there a 15-minute boat ride will take us to the tiny island of Selja, home of the Selja Monastery, built by Benedictine monks in the early 1100s in memory of St. Sunniva. After our visit we continue on to Loen. We finish the day relaxing at the outstanding Hotel Alexandra.

Loen Skylift & Briksdal Glacier

Today is all about taking in some of the most spectacular views in all of the Nordfjord region. We visit the Briksdal Glacier and soar to the top of Mount Hoven on the brand-new Loen Skylift. Up there we will enjoy a toast, marvel at the views and explore the many hiking options.

Balestrand, a Sognefjord Gem

A very scenic drive leads us to our next destination, Balestrand, where we will overnight at the famous Kviknes Hotel, a property full of history and tradition. In Balestrand we will tour the town and wrap up the historical walk at the Ciderhuset ("Cider House"), where we will learn about the cider-making craft and sample several of their specialties.

DAY 8 – Fjord Cruise & Bergen

After a high-adrenaline fjord safari tour on a RIB boat, we say goodbye to the Kviknes hotel and sail the Sognefjord - Norway's deepest and largest fjord (affectionately called the "King of the Fjords") - on our way to Bergen. Upon arrival in Bergen (Norway's "Gateway to the Fjords") we will tour the town and later check in into the area's most complete hotel-spa, the Solstrand.

Extreme R&R at the Solstrand Spa Hotel

The Solstrand Hotel & Spa is such an extraordinarily beautiful place that we decided to leave the entire day open, today, for you to enjoy it however you desire. The options are many, but here are a few suggestions:

1) Simply spend the entire day enjoying the hotel's gorgeous surroundings, taking advantage of their spa & wellness center (many pools available) and even going for a dip in the fjord. There is no better place to relax and rejuvenate than right here!

2) Take a day trip to nearby Bergen (only 20 min away)

3) Join a boat tour to other nearby locations.

At night we will celebrate the closing of our Norwegian adventure with a wonderful group dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
